Hurricane Irene's rain is coming to the United States. It is coming up from the south, it's starting at the bahama's and it has reached the Carolina's and will stretch up to Massachusetts. In the storms way is at least 65 million people in it's path. This hurricane will create major power outages and major flooding. There is word of 10 inch rains, and winds up to 70 miles per hour. Rain from Irene has already hit South Carolina, leaving thousands without power. The winds are coming hard, and in the Outer Banks waves are reaching 6 to 9 feet. This hurricane is said to be stronger than Issabell, for some it will be catastrophic. The hurricane's power is frightning, but my fellow city folk aren't going to let a hurricane get us down. Most people are boarding up their homes, and stocking up on supplies like water, batteries, flashlights etc. Everyone stay safe
